  Your first steps towards Identifiction
The concept of Identifiction is part of the revolution that has to occur, in opinion, in the videogame industry.
We wanted to revolt against the vicious circle in which the quest for conformity to please the greatest number leads to the lowest common denominator when it comes to game content. You merely have to look at the release schedules for forthcoming games: lots of projects that are the nth sequel of other games or games based on licences. In both cases, the projects resemble each other and regularly share similar or poor storylines.
The most recent productions often privilege action and graphics rather then attempt to put over any kind of message.

With Identifiction we want to assert the role of videogames as a cultural medium and their capacity to spur thought and convey meaning. We want to raise this medium to a level worthy of its potential.
We also want to offer a new form of entertainment: new in terms of format, concept, diffusion and content.

So just what is Identifiction? Well, it’s a new format, halfway between a TV series and a videogame that will be available on January 2009.

Identifiction is the brand name of a range of interactive series. The first series is called Aosphere in which an SF ambience reigns. Other identifictions (interactive series), totally different from Aosphere, will be onlined very quickly afterwards.

Identifictions have taken the genetic code of TV serials, that’s to say the duration of each episode and frequency (a new episode every week). In keeping with the latest TV series, Identifiction’s editorial stance is irreverent and subversive in order to trigger reflection on subjects and issues hard to tackle with classical videogame formats.

Accessing Identifiction is easy. All you have to do is log on to the site www.identifiction.com and install the latest version of Flash. And yes, everything is played inside your web browser, without you having to install another software application.

Right now, I’m looking for beta testers. If you’re interested in helping us to improve the project : Join the Beta Test.

You’ll see. You’re in for a surprise and maybe you’ll like it ;-)
